- CHOREOGRAPHY -
Leader - Wendy O'Hanlon
Wednesdays, 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM
Wendy's one hour class draws mostly on her Ballroom experience, choreographing for dancers without the necessity of having a partner. We also explore other forms of dance such as jazz and line dance. Due to the intricate of the steps some prior dance experience is best but not a requirement. Some of the dance rouitines require memorization enabling the group to perform at the Gainesville Senior Center and Cresswind events.

- LINE DANCE - BEGINNER -
Leader - Wendy O'Hanlon
Thursdays 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Lanier Room
This class is a useful tool for transitioning into the Traditional Line Dance Classes, but dancers may be content having a class with easier dances for the exercise and social benefits. Wendy will be spending more time reviewing steps to a variety of songs and will call out the steps when needed.
- LINE DANCE - TRADITIONAL
Leader - Eleanor Whalen Wednesdays and Fridays, 2:00PM to 3:00 PM, Lanier Room
The Traditional Line Dance class has been active for several years and newcomers are welcome. Some dance experience is helpful for learning the routines but newcomers are encouraged to check out the links to the line dances below and on the Cresswind webpage for the club. There is a brief review of each dance and the steps may be called out when needed. The dancers are always willing to help so come give it a try!
- TAI CHI -
Leader - Cheryl Vassiliadis (outside professional)
Mondays, 1:15PM to 2:15 PM for everyone
2:30 PM to 3:30 PM - Advanced
Improved balance is most likely the #1 reason people pursue Tai Chi and the benefits are reflected in continued participation with less incidence of falls. Other positive outcomes include increased flexibility, muscle strengthening, and improved cardio-respiratory fitness. The Advanced Tai Chi group is learning the extended Fan Form and several also practice Sword Form at the end of the class. Tai Chi is often referred to as "Meditation in Motion.
